Review: Guerlain Meteorites Perles Teint Rose #1

I first read about these pearlescent balls on mywomenstuff where Paris b raves very highly about the use and effects that these meteorites have on ones skin. This led on to vigorous research on Google and from what I found it was a love/hate relationship; you either love it or you don't. Most bloggers hated the price and I understand why, especially here in Australia. It is currently retailing at $150+ the last I checked at Myers. I picked mine up at Changi Airport in Singapore, duty free for SGD$67. With conversion, that's almost a $100 savings!

When I first started using it, I didn't get it. I didn't understand the raves that everyone was talking about. To be honest I initially thought it was a complete waste of resources! I decided to continue wearing it despite thinking it had no effect. Eventually I saw the light (pun intended). I took photos one night when dinning with friends and realised that my photos look extremely good, not to be obnoxious or anything, but suddenly everything sat right in the photo. Even with weird poses, my skin looked radiant. I waved it off as one of those good skin days.

I did not realise that it was the meteorites that was making my skin look so good until one day where I got lazy and decided not to use it. And it was weird, I suddenly felt gross, like there was something missing everytime I looked in the mirror. That night when me and my friends were taking photos, I realised my photos looked horrible, my pores were visible and everything was just off. That was when I realised that the meteorites have a magnificent effect when taking photos. It's insane what it does.

The micro shimmers are so minuscule that it is barely visible on the skin making it impossible to swatch, but with photos, OMG, just OMG. Crazy stuff I tell you. Which is why I deem this a must have. Pick it up when you have the chance. I don't believe there are or will be any dupes for this. It's one of those things that I will no doubt save pennys for. I believe Teint Rose comes in 6 colours: Pink, Lavender, White pearl, Gold pearl and Rose gold; even though it only shows 5 shades on the box.

 HG stuff. 'nuff said.

Beginnings

Source: Tumblr

I've wanted to start a blog for a while now, but I've just never had the courage to put my voice out there.

I’m not exactly sure where this is going to lead or what kind of blog I want it to become, but I just had this sense of urgency to get something started.

So, for no particular reason, today is the day where it begins.
